Once announced as a PS5 launch exclusive, Deathloop had already been delayed been delayed away from that launch date. With a fast approaching release date of May 21st, Arkane Lyon have confirmed that Deathloop has now been delayed to September 14th.

The stylish new action game, which pits you against a cabal of villainous enemies in a Groundhog Day-esque loop, was one of our most anticipated games of the year, so seeing it pushed back another few months makes the wait all that harder. The announcement, made by Arkane on Twitter, doesn’t give an explicit reason for the delay but implies that it’s to guarantee a level of quality and polish in the final release.
