Deadly Premonition 2 Patch 1.0.3 Released

August 9, 2020

When I originally reviewed Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing In Disguise last month, my main issue with the game was its utterly deplorable technical performance. The characters were interesting, the story engaging, the gameplay functional, but the wild swings in famerate were horrible. The game has had a couple of patches since then, with Deadly Premonition 2 Patch 1.0.3 just releasing and promising performance improvement and more.

The patch promises improved framerates in the game, and after jumping in to check the game out again, there’s definitely a marked improvement to the game. This Streamable clip found via Reddit is a great example of that. Patch 1.0.3 also introduces camera inversion controls, which is sure to be a welcome addition to all those crazy people out there that love to invert their camera controls. What Patch 1.0.3 doesn’t seem to improve is the game’s load times, which still take an agonisingly long time to complete, while it’s also unlikely that the game will ever have more interesting side quests patched into the game.

Deadly Premonition 2 Patch 1.0.3 is available for download right now, while the game itself is available exclusively on Nintendo Switch. For more information on the game, check out its official website.
