Dark Souls Remastered announced

January 12, 2018

Bandai Namco has announced Dark Souls Remastered will be coming to the PS4, Xbox One, PC and, surprisingly, the Nintendo Switch.

The game is being handled by original developer From Software, and will feature improved textures and visuals. The password matchmaking system fromĀ Dark Souls IIIĀ is being implemented, and this time up to six player multiplayer is supported.

Dark Souls Remastered will run a 60 frames per second on PS4, Xbox One and PC, while the Switch version will run at 30 fps. Xbox One X and PS4 Pro consoles will supported an upscaled 4K resolution, whereas the PC version will run at a native 4K resolution. All non-4K consoles will support 1080p resolution, though in handheld mode the Switch’s resolution will drop to 720p.

Dark Souls Remastered is scheduled to be released on 25 May, 2018.
