  • NEWS: In around eleven hours (see countdown), Konami will be hosting their pre-E3 press conference. Here they intend to show a new Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes trailer, reveal the first Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 gameplay, showcase PES, and discuss other, unannounced titles. The event will be watchable online here, and Rocket Chainsaw will provide a full recap of the event shortly after it finishes.
  • NEWS: Video Gamer has reported, from EDGE magazine, that Microsoft has confirmed that their Xbox One racer Forza 5 will run at a solid 60fps. This news arrives alongside confirmation that Microsoft are not pressuring Xbox One developers to hit performance or resolution standards, allowing them to render games at whatever framerates and resolutions they desire.

  • NEWS: Soon-to-scare-your-pants-off horror odyssey Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs has been…delayed. A post on the forums by a Frictional Games developer indicates the title is in need of a bit more spit and polish, and won’t launch until a little later this year. Assuming it makes that.
  • VIDEO: More Deus Ex is on the way, this time for iOS devices. Titled Deus Ex: The Fall, this new release will act as a sequel to the Deus Ex: Human Revolution novel Icarus Effect, and aim to emulate the franchise staples of dialogue, combat, stealth, hacking, and choice based gameplay on touch centric devices. Aiming to release later this year at around $6.99, you can check out a demonstration of The Fall below.

  • NEWS: You’ll soon be shooting through space and leveraging all sorts of mutant powers on your PlayStation 4, as IGN confirm that both Planetside 2 and DC Universe will hit the system, retaining their free-to-play business model, and all appropriate microtransactions. PlayStation Blog has confirmed another free-to-play game, this time the cyber ninja fighter Warframe, will also appear on the PlayStation 4.
  • NEWS: For reasons unknown to us, Steve Tilley has confirmed on Twitter that Microsoft has pulled the plug on their usual post-E3 conference round table, where journalists are usually given freedom to ask questions.
  • VIDEO: Confirming long standing Steam leak rumours, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow has been announced for PC. Under the guise of an Ultimate Edition, the PC release will be available digitally come 27 August, and include both the Reverie and Resurrection DLC packs. Check out the announcement trailer.
