CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 marketing machine is now in full swing with the game’s launch just (fingers crossed) three weeks away, and today we can share with you a Cyberpunk 2077 Keanu Reeves Behind the Scenes video which shows how the man himself has created possibly one of the most memorable non-playable characters of all time: Johnny Silverhand. Whoa.

The video runs for a bit over four minutes and goes into detail about the motion capture Keanu Reeves used and how he’s gone to great lengths to create the Johnny Silverhand character to the best of his abilities, drawing from previous work including The Matrix and voice-over work he’s done over the years.

Keanu Reeves was kind of the father of motion capture, first doing that epic bullet dodge sequence in the first The Matrix movie in 1999. Since then, we’ve seen motion capture used in hundreds of blockbuster films, tv shows, and of course video games.

Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification.
