Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time Coming To All Remaining Platforms

February 11, 2021

There’s no doubting that last year’s Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time was a fantastic new entry into the series. It was difficult, had tight controls and looked absolutely fantastic. It’s biggest issue, however, was the relatively small number of platforms it released on. Now, everyone else is about to get the chance to play, with the game coming to every remaining platform imaginable.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time’s additional releases come in two forms: a more technically proficient next-gen and PC version, and a reworked Switch version. Players on Xbox Series X and PS5 will get an upgrade to 4k60fps and much faster loading times (these will presumedly translate to the PC release if your PC can handle it), and PS5 players will also find support for Activity Cards and DualSense haptics. Already purchased the game on PS4 or Xbox One? You’ll get a free upgrade for the corresponding next gen version.

Switch users will get something a little different, with this version taking a slightly different form to other ports. Instead of aiming for the same visuals with a lower resolution, Activision have instead reworked the visuals of the game to be less complex and follow a new art style, allowing them to hit 1080p in docked mode and 720p in handheld mode.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is available right now on PS4 and Xbox One, and will release on Nintendo Switch, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on March 12th, with the PC release ‘forthcoming’.
