Classic Kingdom Hearts, Yakuza and Final Fantasy games announced for Xbox One

November 15, 2019

PlayStation fans have long teased Xbox players over the various Kingdom Hearts, Yakuza and Final Fantasy titles that were seemingly Sony exclusive games (excluding some PC and Nintendo Switch ports). Well, they can tease no longer as Microsoft has revealed several classic games from the respective franchises are making their way to Xbox One next year.

The list of games includes the following:

  • Kingdom Hearts 1.5 Remixed
  • Kingdom Hearts 2.5 Remixed
  • Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Remixed
  • Yakuza 0
  • Yakuza Kiwami
  • Yakuza Kiwami 2
  • Final Fantasy VII
  • Final Fantasy VIII: Remastered
  • Final Fantasy IX
  • Final Fantasy X: HD Remastered
  • Final Fantasy X-2: HD Remastered
  • FinalFantasy XII:The Zodiac Age
  • Final Fantasy XIII
  • Final Fantasy XIII-2
  • Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII
  • Final Fantasy XV

In particular it is great to see the Kingdom Hearts Remix titles grace the system given Kingdom Hearts 3 was released earlier this year. This will mean the full Kingdom Hearts storyline will finally be available on Xbox One.

Also, for Xbox Games Pass subscribers the Yakuza and Final Fantasy games will be made available as part of the program. Other games announced today for the service include Darksiders 3, My Friend Pedro, The Witcher 3 and Age of Empires 2 (for PC). So there are no excuses, get downloading!
