Cheeky Ubisoft E3 2017 Trailer in Watch Dogs 2

November 14, 2016

It’s not every year you see a Ubisoft E3 2017 trailer sneak in to their AAA holiday season release, but that’s what seems to be the go in Watch Dogs 2. One gamer on YouTube has found a hidden switch in the gigantic playground of San Francisco which activates a trailer showing unseen Ubisoft E3 2017 footage of what is perhaps a new IP from the publishers. Check out the trailer in the video below:

It’s hard to get much out of the trailer, but it definitely seems Ubisoft is heading in to space. We haven’t seen any of their shooter/adventure games go galactic yet, but it would be interesting to see Far Cry jump into space after we traveled all the way back in time to the Neolithic Age for Far Cry Primal.

Some fans have been drawing references to shows like Cowboy Bebop and Firefly due to the western music playing in the background. Both of those shows are unlikely however, as if you pause at 0:38 you can see a HUD showing a spacecraft arriving at a destination, with the words ‘MARS’ and ‘MOON’ clearly visible, celestial bodies that are not featured in those tv shows.

Whatever Ubisoft is planning for E3 2017, it’s highly likely the company has been discussing what to bring to the table to compete with Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption 2. We are already super excited to see what’s on the cards in June 2017.

Watch Dogs 2 launches tomorrow, November 15, 2016 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4, while the Windows PC version has been delayed two weeks due to some minor glitches and is expected to launch November 29, 2016.
