You may have heard of Captain Tsubasa before given there have been multiple long running series of the manga since the first released in 1981. For those that haven’t heard of it before, the series follows Tsubasa, a football obsessed boy who dreams of one day playing in the World Cup. The series has evolved beyond that simple premise over the nearly forty years, but a love for football has stayed at its heart throughout. As with just about any successful manga series there’s been a number of games based on it released over the years and the latest game Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions now has a confirmed release date in August.

Rise of New Champions is the first Captain Tsubasa game developed specifically for console platforms since 2010, so it’s been quite a while between drinks for fans. Preorders for the game open today, with five different editions to choose from: Standard, Deluxe, Collector’s, Champions and Legends editions. The last two editions are exclusive to Bandai Naldo Europe’s e-commerce store which can be found here. Check out the images below showing off each of the different editions.
