Call of Duty ‘Shadows of Evil’ Escape Room hits Federation Square this weekend

October 27, 2015

Melbournites and PAX attendees will have a little bit more to look forward to this weekend, especially if they’re fans of Call of Duty, as Activision are launching a special experience at Federation Square from 30 October to 6 November.

It’s a ‘Zombies Escape Room’, a live immersive experience that places fans into Shadows of Evil, the film-noir inspired horror story from the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops III. If you’re willing to step inside, you’ll be transported intot he private chamber of ‘Nero the Magician’, where you’ll encounter a number of challenges you must overcome to escape. To achieve this, Activision have partnered with Secret Squirrel, the team behind Underground Cinema to create an authentic experience with intricate set designs and staging, in a live recreation of the game.

For those unaware, Escape Rooms have been popping up around the world in the last few years, operated by both small teams and larger companies. They generally involve locking participants into a room with a series of puzzles they must solve in order to escape within a set time limit.

If this sounds like it’s up your alley, there are FREE tickets still available at Eventbrite . Be aware that this is a strictly 18+ event and proof of age identification may be requested before entry is granted.
