Burnout creators reveal Dangerous Golf

January 28, 2016

Criterion Games co-founders, Alex Ward and Fiona Sperry, left the now EA-owned company last year to form a new studio called Three Fields Entertainment. Today, the developer has announced their first title will be Dangerous Golf.

Being from the creators of Burnout, it’s not too surprising that Dangerous Golf is not your typical golf-sim. Instead of aiming for that birdie, your main objective is to cause as much dollar damage as possible. Golf balls will be set ablaze, and the more damage you accrue, the hotter your ball will become. Players who use trick shots, ricochet techniques and cause lots of damage will turn their golf ball into a bomb, setting off their SmashBreaker.

Destructive environments will include a hotel kitchen, a palace ballroom, gas station and a medieval castle. There will also be turn based offline and online multiplayer where players compete to get the highest score.

Dangerous Golf will be released as a downloadable title this May on Xbox One, PS4 and Steam.
