Borderlands 3 Has Gone Gold

August 1, 2019

With more than a month until its release, Gearbox Software today revealed via Twitter that the fourth game in the Borderlands franchise, Borderlands 3, has gone gold.

Borderlands rose to fame quickly a decade ago when it launched on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, providing gamers with an amazing new cel-shaded world filled with mutant creatures and of course guns, lots of guns. Borderlands 2 launched three years later and was also very well received. Borderlands The Presequel is the third game in the series which launched in 2014 to mostly positive reviews, though the franchise was starting to wane and Gearbox shelved it for the time-being, opting to work on other titles such as We Happy Few and Battleborn.

Just before E3 2019, we learnt that Borderlands 3 was well into development and looks set to bring back glory to the franchise.
