Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 Releasing in July

June 28, 2020

If you’re an avid follower of Kickstarter campaigns, you may have seen the campaign run by Koji Igarashi for Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night that was run back in 2015. Part of the campaign was a stretch goal set at $4.5million USD (nine times the goal of the game itself) to develop a prequel-mini game set in the same universe, Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon. Developed by Inti Creates the game was well received, and was also evidently enough of a success that a sequel, Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2, is in development and releases in less than 2 weeks.

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 follows Zangetsu as he once again seeks to wipe out a host of unruly demons hell-bent on destroying the world. The latest trailer for the game also confirms that the game will have a bigger roster of characters than the original, with confirmation that Miriam, Alfred and Gebel from the original game will join new characters Dominique, Robert and Hachi (a Corgi in a mech suit). There aren’t many other details known about the game, but we do know it will stick the 8-bit style of the original.

Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon 2 releases on July 10th for Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
