In an outstanding show of support for those who have been left out in the cold by GAME’s entry into administration, Blizzard are offering to honour all pre-orders for GAME customers directly.
While some GAME stores did receive pre-orders, many didn’t, and due to a quirk of Australia’s corporate law, anyone with a pre-order for Diablo III is essentially an unsecured creditor of the company, meaning that when the company goes into administration, they fall to the bottom of a long list of creditors that the administrators will be looking to pay out.
To claim your copy, you have to purchase a digital copy of the game from Blizzard’s online store, then provide them with a copy of your pre-order receipt. They will refund you for the amount on the pre-order. Unfortunately, there’s no word on what those who pre-orded the Collector’s Edition of the game can do.
