Competitors at today’s Nintendo World Championships were tasked on taking on a new Nintendo IP that was announced right there and then.

Blast Ball is a FPS style soccer game for the 3DS. Two teams of three robots compete to fire their blasters at a large ball, attempting to push it in to the opponents goal. The players will also need to avoid being destroyed by opponents blasts as well as having to be careful not to get to close to the ball as it damages players when it is touched.

Details are sparse at this time, but expect more details to come out over the course of E3.
