Aussie hip-hop duo A.B. Original, have joined the line-up for 2K’s NBA 2K22 soundtrack, which also includes top artists like Aitch,< Freddie Gibbs, Gunna, Megan Thee Stallion, Metro Boomin, Saweetie, Skepta, Smino and Travis Scott.
NBA 2K22 will be approaching its in-game soundtrack a little differently this year, with a new integration with Seasons. The ‘First Friday’ of every new season will add new songs to the soundtrack, with a mix of high-profile and up-and-coming artists.
Alfie Brody, Vice President of Global Marketing for NBA 2K, explains “NBA 2K has become a global platform for music discovery and that continues with NBA 2K22. This year, we are creating a dynamic soundtrack, complete with early access to unreleased tracks, new artists, and opportunities for fans to become part of the experience and solidify their place in video game history.”
A ‘Producer Series’ will also integrate a Beats Pack into NBA 2K22, purportedly giving the community the opportunity to record their own best verses over the beats provided. More details on this feature will be unveiled closer to launch.
For those curious about the full playlist, starting September 10 players will be able to experience all the music available in-game at launch on the official playlist, at the 2K Beats website.
