Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Release Date Pulled Forwards

September 10, 2020

In a world where just about every game is being delayed due to COVID-19 or just general development issues, the idea of a game releasing earlier than planned seems unfathomable. However, despite that, Ubisoft has revealed overnight that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will now release on November 10, a full week earlier than originally planned.

Why would they do this? Well, to become an Xbox Series S and X launch game of course! This shift in date means that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will now release alongside those consoles, surely giving it an additional boost in sales. After a series of leaks that included a HD version of the game’s map and gameplay footage, we’ve also had confirmation that the Xbox Series X version of the game will run at 4K and 60fps, which is pretty big news. Currently, we don’t have any details on how the PS5 version of the game will run. What we did receive confirmation of, it that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will also release as a launch title on PS5 when the console launches, although we don’t know that date as yet.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will launch on PC, PlayStation 4, Stadia, Xbox One, Xbox Series S and Xbox Series X on November 10, with a PlayStation 5 version coming at that console’s launch. For more information, check out the official website.
