It’s Real, it’s Madrid, Alex Hunter has made it in FIFA 19

August 7, 2018

EA Sports’ FIFA 19 is just over a month away and we’re slowly finding out more about what’s new and what’s changed. Importantly though, the story mode in FIFA 19 is continuing and it has just been revealed that superstar Alex Hunter will finally make his way to Real Madrid to play alongside the likes of World Cup hero Croatian Luka Modric and defender Raphael Varane.

Alex Hunter had a shaky ride in FIFA 18 when his shady manager screwed him over on a Real Madrid offer and got him kicked out of his Premier League team, causing a sea-change to LA Galaxy before making it back to Europe. Hunter’s hopes and dreams will be realised in FIFA 19 though, however he may not get the chance to play alongside Cristiano Ronaldo given his recent move to Juventus.

Our guess is EA Sports’ FIFA 19 story mode won’t change though, and we’re just going to have to pretend that Ronaldo is still there while we play that mode.

FIFA 19 was originally revealed at this year’s EA Play, with a new focus on the UEFA Champions League in the works.

FIFA 19 launches on September 28, 2018 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Nintendo Switch, Android, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions will be scaled down though. Called the “Legacy Edition”, the version will not include any new gameplay features but instead just be a rehashed version of FIFA 18 with new squads and kits.
