Co-Op: Payday 2: Crimewave Edition Review

July 31, 2015

Reviews of multiplayer and co-op focused games are not uncommon, but they largely focus on the views of only one person. With our Co-Op feature, Rocket Chainsaw aims to present an alternate format where you will see the views of two people who have played the same game together.

As some of our readers may recall, Andrew and I did a Co-Op review of the PC version of Smite in June this year. After receiving feedback, we have decided to change the format of our Co-Op feature to a podcast-style review. This time, Andrew and I discuss the our recent experience with PayDay 2: Crimewave Edition on the Xbox One. Having played over 50 hours of the PC version, Andrew offers some insight into the history of the PC release and some of its content updates. Meanwhile, I offer views from the perspective of a newcomer to the franchise and make comparisons to The Dark Knight.

Positives:

Lots of content | Fun with friends | Energetic music

Negatives:

Bad AI | Horrible matchmaking bugs | Dated visuals
