World of Tanks launches on PS4

January 20, 2016

World of Tanks  has finally gone live today on PlayStation 4. The free-to-play online multiplayer game has appeared across PCs and consoles for the past several years, finding huge success and cultivating a growing community of competitive gaming, centered around pure tank-on-tank action.

TJ Wagner, Executive Producer of Wargaming Chicago-Baltimore, says “The support we have received so far has been overwhelming and we can’t wait to share what we have in store for PlayStation®4 in the upcoming months. We hope you enjoy playing the game as much as we enjoy making it.”

Fans who check out the game on launch can take advantage of limited time offers. All players who log in before the end of January will receive a free T1E6-PS US Premium Light Tank with special camouflage. There’s also a ‘Girls und Panzer’ Pz.Kpfw. IV Ausf. H Elite tank (which we’re pretty sure was named after a cat ran across the military’s keyboard), unlocked via battling with the regular version of the tank, which is available until April 30. A range of unique Founder’s Packs can also be purchased on the PlayStation Store, with Premium content, tanks, in-game currency and account time, available from $23.95 to $150.95.

World of Tanks on PS4 is available now and is free to download, and does not require a PlayStation Plus subscription to play.
