  • EA Games’ Chief Operating Officer, Peter Moore,  has stated that not all of EA’s games will be required to run on an online connection. Clarifying his comments at last week’s Gamescom, Moore wrote on his blog: “Many, if not most, of our games include single-player, offline modes that you can play entirely without an Internet connection, if you so choose, We know that’s something many of our players want, and we will continue to deliver it.”
  • The latest in the Just Dance series, Just Dance Kids 2014, will be released this October for Wii U, Wii, Xbox 360 and PS3. The Wii U version will also feature a Dance Director mode, in which truly sadistic players can select dance moves for other players to perform.
  • In other October release news, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD will be released in October as well.
  • Japanese news for Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies has been a bit of a tease, showing off Case DLC featuring pirates and costumes. The good news is that costume DLC will be unlockable for Western players, including those unlocked via the Quiz DLC, which will only be available in Japan.
  • The critically-acclaimed Telltale Adventure series, The Walking Deadis heading to OUYA in Q4 this year. Episode One will be free, with the rest of the episodes (including bonus episode 400 Days) ready for purchase. Season Two will also be released for OUYA, but no word on whether that will be in line with the release on the other platforms. Here’s a trailer for the OUYA version:
