The Vision For Universal’s Nintendo Theme Parks Is Here

November 30, 2016

Shigeru Miyamato, the creative visionary from Nintendo, and Mark Woodbury, the President of Universal Creative, have come together to official confirm the partnership between Universal Parks and Resorts and Nintendo, and discuss their creative vision of the new Nintendo-themed areas coming to Universal theme parks. While it was known that Nintendo and Universal were teaming up to create brand new Nintendo-themed areas within some Universal Studios theme parks, it wasn’t previously know if all parks would receive one. This announcement has confirmed that Universal Studios Japan, Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort will all receive the brand new Nintendo-themed areas.

While the full details have not yet been revealed, they have confirmed that the areas will be expansive, immersive and will make players feel like they are inside a Nintendo game. Planning and creative works are well underway, with each park expected to soon begin confirming and announcing the details of their individual Nintendo areas.

With this announcement, plus the releases of Pokemon Sun and Moon and the Nintendo Classic Mini: NES, as well as the upcoming reveal of the Nintendo Switch, it’s certainly an exciting time to be a Nintendo fan. Stay tuned to Rocket Chainsaw as more information becomes available.
