Insomniac Games were showing off a new game at the Penny Arcade Expo a few days ago, but upon closer inspection…it’s not so new. A new trailer for Fuse shows off a little more of the game’s setting, but it turns out that the game is just a reworking of Overstrike, a game that they announced during E3 2011. Looks like there’s a good reason why we haven’t heard anything much about the game since then. For those not familiar with the title, Fuse is a futuristic 4-player co-op action game which features players working together to stop a global terrorist organisation from wiping out mankind. The game has no release date at this point, but in addition to the change of name, Insomniac have launched a teaser site for the game, with a countdown clock which is set to time out on the 12th of September. Fuse will be Insomniac’s first multiplatform game, coming to both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
