Valkyria Revolution Announced For The West

December 15, 2016

Sega and Deep Silver have announced that they are partnering together to bring Valkyria Revolution to the West, continuing the relationship that was first revealed when they jointly announced that Deep Silver would handle Atlus releases in PAL territories. While the announcement of Valyria Revolution’s Western release sounds like something that was expected, this comes after Valkyria Chronicles 3 for the Playstation Portable was never translated into English or released in the West.

Valkyria Revolution is being developed by Media.Vision, creators of the long-running Wild Arms franchise, and is a billed as an evolution of the original Valkyria Chronicles formula, moving more towards an action-rpg formula as opposed to the turn-based strategy stylings of the original.

This announcement goes further than just announcing a release window and English translation and also confirms that the game will come to Xbox One in the West as part of this release, in addition to the Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita releases coming in Japan.

Valkyria Revolution will receive physical and digital editions on Playstation 4 and Xbox One and a digital-only release in Playstation Vita when it releases in Q2 of 2017.
