June 4, 2015

Continuing the trend of announcements breaking earlier than planned, a banner for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection has appeared on the PlayStation mobile site. No other details were posted, but Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann has confirmed the existence of the game with a tweet, also suggesting more concrete information is to come very shortly.

Rumours of an Uncharted trilogy collection coming on PlayStation 4 have been circling for some time. It looks like we will not have to wait much longer to find when we can play as Nathan Drake again.

UPDATE: Sony has confirmed that Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, including all three of the Uncharted PS3 games, shall be debuting on PlayStation 4 on October 9, 2015. The title is being developed by Bluepoint games, well-known for their previous remasters including Metal Gear Solid and The Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collections.

The remastered Uncharted trilogy will feature photo mode, new trophies and several technical upgrades, such as running at 1080p and at 60fps. The Uncharted Collection will not include the original multiplayer modes, but shall grant access to the Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End multiplayer beta. Expect even more information on Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection to be divulged in the coming months.
