- Many believe that World of Warcraft may be on the decline, but it seems Blizzard Entertainment’s president Mike Morhaime feels differently. In a recent interview with Polygon, Morhaime revealed that WoW expansions are to be released at “a faster cadence” for now on. Warlords of Draenor was only just announced last Friday, but Morhaime says the next expansion is already in the works.”We’ve already started working on the expansion after this one. We’ve never done that in the past. We’ve been doing one expansion at a time, sort of a very linear content creation model, and we’ve looked at ways that we can parallel-ize that. - With Blizzcon also came more news involving the up and coming World of Warcraft movie. Director Duncan Jones stated that the storyline will follow both a human and an orc in what sounds to be a very Avatar-esque format. “We needed to make sure that the audience beyond Warcraft players understand, even if you’re an orc, you’re a hero”.
- Naughty Dog will be announcing new story DLC for The Last of Us later this week! Hooray! The trailer will be shown live on Spike TV during the Sony event, and will be online at 11 p.m. ET.
- Sony have a new video in a series of strange video game inspired viral videos for the PS4, this time looking towards the Assassin’s Creed series. Not sure exactly how effective this campaign is… but check it out anyway.
- Xbox One released a new commercial showing off the Kinect 2.0’s voice command function. While this isn’t too exciting, the ad itself is pretty rad. Check it out below.
