The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition download is now available to pre-load on Steam, meaning you can fully download and install the game ready for tomorrow’s much anticipated release of the Skyrim remake. Coming in at just 9.8 GB the download does seem somewhat small compared to the reported 20 GB for the PS4 edition.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition is available for free for anyone who owns the original Skyrim with all DLC, or the Skyrim Legendary Pack.

If you qualify for a free upgrade and wish to begin your Skyrim Special Edition download, simply log in to your Steam client and you will find the game in your library under E for Elder Scrolls waiting to be pre-loaded.

The Skyrim Special Edition download will unlock tomorrow, October 28 at 11AM AEST.
