  • With both the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on the market, the next-gen has now truly begun. Putting aside the usual launch issues, which have hit both consoles, the sales are looking strong. Microsoft have confirmed that they’ve sold 1 million consoles wordwide in the first 24 hours, matching Sony’s sales figure. Sony have only launched in the US at this point, however, and it’ll be interesting to see how the two concoles performs over the next couple of weeks.
  • Keep an eye out tomorrow, Persona fans – Atlus have an announcement to make about the franchise on Sunday, which will be appearing on their teaser website. At this point, some kind of Persona 4 sequel or spin-off seems likely, but we’ll just have to wait a little longer to find out!
  • AnandTech.com has put together a comparison of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One’s power consumption and web browsers.  The Xbox has the PlayStation beat when it comes to power consumption, but the PlayStation has a much faster browser.
  • Microsoft have released a Ferrari trailer for Forza 5, showing off the exclusive LaFerrari car.

  • You may recall that Microsoft congratulated Sony on their PlayStation 4 launch in the US last week, and now Sony have returned the favour. In additon to the official Xbox account, Shuhei Yoshida congratulated both Phil Harrison and Major Nelson as well via Twitter.
  • Geek.com have put together an interesting comparison of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4’s game install, load, and boot times. It seems that the PlayStation 4 has the edge overall, although the install times may vary a bit between different games.
  • Tearaway is now available for PlayStation Vita, and Sony have released a new TV ad to celebrate.
