  • EA and Sony have explained how owners of the PlayStation 3 version of Battlefield 4 will be able to upgrade to a PlayStation 4 copy for a reduced price. PS3 copies will come with a code that can be entered into the PlayStation Store, and will allow the user to download Battlefield 4 on their PS4 for a fraction of the usual price. This offer will also be available with other games, including Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed IV.
  • Which one is more powerful? The Xbox One, or the PlayStation 4? Developers have weighed in on the topic, and it seems that the PlayStation 4 has the advantage, at least at this point.
  • Although Gran Turismo 6 won’t be coming to PlayStation 4, a next-gen entry in the series shouldn’t be far away. Series creator Kazunori Yamauchi has said that Gran Turismo 7 should be available a year or two from now.
  • Square-Enix have released a short video which shows off some of the costumes that will be available for Lightning to wear in next year’s Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII.

  • J.J. Abrams has spoken out about the Star Trek game that was released earlier this year as a movie tie-in, expressing his disappointment. He originally had high hopes for the game, but it ultimately ended up being something that he believes may have hurt the movie.
  • A new DriveClub gameplay video shows off night driving from the beta version, at 1080p (or 4K res if you really want to go nuts).
