E3 2016: Resident Evil 7 announced with VR support

June 14, 2016

During the Sony conference at E3 2016, Capcom announced the release of Resident Evil 7.  Removing the high octane action sensibilities and returning to an aesthetic more firmly rooted in survival horror, the reveal trailer highlighted the creepy atmosphere and renewed focus on psychological horror.

Of most interest was the fact that the game will also be available on PlayStation VR, promising a more intense and immersive journey through the virus ridden universe of the series, as well as the prospect of some terrifying confrontations with new and improved enemies.
