June 16, 2015

Microsoft made a couple of Rare-related announcements during their E3 conference early this morning.

Firstly, to celebrate 30 years of Rare games Microsoft will be releasing a Rare Replay collection. The collection will contain 30 Rare games including the likes of Perfect Dark, Conker’s Bad Fur Day, Banjo-Kazooie and Kameo: Elements of Power. Completionists can look forward to unlocking a potential 10,000 gamerscore from the collection. Rare Replay is scheduled to be released in August this year.

A brand new IP from Rare titled Sea of Thieves was also announced during the conference. The game appears to be a pirate-themed MMO, and will have players exploring islands and battling opponents on the high seas. Sea of Thieves is slated for a 2016 release.
