Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness dated for Europe

May 19, 2016

NIS America has announced, via a press release, that Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness will be coming to Europe and Australia on September 16 this year.

The game is based on the anime Psycho-Pass, which is set in the future where technology is used to monitor the mental and emotional states of the general public. The technology analyses an individual’s stress levels and determines how likely they are to commit a crime. If the alarms are sound, the Public Safety Bureau are tasked with capturing the individual before they can commit an offence. There are two main ranks within the organisation: Enforcers who investigate crimes and apprehend criminals, and Inspectors who manage the Enforcers.

In Mandatory Happiness, players can choose between two characters – Nadeshiko Kugatachi, a calm and serious Inspector who has no memory of her past; and Takuma Tsurugi, a hot-headed Enforcer who is investigating the disappearance of a childhood friend. Players will need to decide the best course of action for each scenario they face, and remember that every action will have its own repercussions.

Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness will be coming out on PS4, PS Vita and Windows PC via Steam.
