Platinum Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game announced

January 27, 2016

Follow various online leaks over the past month, Activision has officially announced that Platinum Games is working on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan.

The game is an action brawler and will allow players to freely switch between Turtles during the heat of battle. Each Turtle has their own unique abilities, and they can combine their strength to unleash a powerful team attack. There will also be support for up to 4-player online co-op, and the campaign will feature several iconic villains such as Bebop, Rocksteady and Shredder.

Platinum Games has taken inspiration from IDW’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic book series for the game’s visuals, featuring a similar style blended with their own cel-shaded animation techniques.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan is anticipated to release mid-2016 on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC.
