The Next Tales Of Game Is…

After about a month of teasing, Namco Bandai have finally revealed the identity of the next game in their long running Tales of RPG series. The game is Tales of Xillia 2, a direct sequel to the original game which was released in Japan during September last year. Announced at the 2012 Tales Of Festival event, the sequel will take place one year after the first game’s ending. Despite being a direct sequel, there’s are currently no known returning characters. The trailer released at the event shows off the game’s new main character, named Ludgar. He and his cat Lulu are escorting a little girl called Elle. She’s said to be be crucial to the game’s story, with Ludgar required to make an important choice regarding her fate. At this point, we don’t know if she’s a playable character. The game is set for release as a PlayStation 3 exclusive in Japan this summer. As far as the Tales of series goes in Australia though, we’re still waiting on the local release of the game that was released before the original Xillia, Tales of Graces F. Graces F was released earlier this year in the US, and will finally be released here on the 31st of August.
