The Pokemon Company International has announced via their official Twitter page that new Pokemon will be coming to Pokemon Go in the future. While they didn’t confirm the details of what Pokemon would be coming to the game, it makes sense that next lot of Pokemon would be the 100 new Pokemon introduced in Pokemon Gold and Silver, including Cyndaquil (my personal favourite Pokemon), or the currently missing legendary Pokemon like the legendary birds, Mewtwo and Mew.
