Launch Trailer For Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City

March 21, 2012

Capcom have just released the launch trailer for their new Resident Evil spin-off, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. The game is set in the time of Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, but is more of a non-canonical ‘what if?’ scenario rather than anything to be taken too seriously. That’s not to say that the zombies aren’t as intent on ripping you to pieces as they usually are. Raccoon City has been turned into a zombie town by the T-virus which was developed by the Umbrella Corporation. You have the choice of playing as one of two characters, either an officer of the Umbrella Security Service or Echo Six, a U.S. government special operations unit. Due to the game’s ‘what if?’ nature, you’ll be able to make otherwise impossible choices, such as killing Leon Kennedy.

The game will be released in Australia on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 tomorrow. The PC version is scheduled for May 17th.
