Hyrule Warriors coming to 3DS

June 11, 2015

Early this morning Koei Tecmo released a trailer on their official YouTube channel revealing that Hyrule Warriors is being ported to the Nintendo 3DS. The video has since been removed – which might have something to do with E3 being next week – but various mirrors have appeared online.

The port appears to be identical to the Wii U version, with the exception of the game’s graphical style. Characters will be presented similar to Super Smash Bros. for 3DS, featuring thick black outlines. Level details have also been reduced, no doubt due to the system’s resources.

The game will feature all characters from the Wii U version including those released as post-launch DLC. Tetra and the King of Red Lions from The Wind Waker were also revealed as new playable characters and will be transferable to the Wii U version.

No official word yet on a release date or if the new characters will be available as separate DLC for the Wii U version. Stay tuned to Rocket Chainsaw for more information as it becomes available.
