Hitman: Sniper Challenge officially announced as pre-order bonus

May 11, 2012

If there wasn’t a reason to pre-order Hitman: Absolution before, there’s certainly a good argument to make for doing it now, as IO Interactive officially announced Hitman: Sniper Challenge, a free stand-alone game that becomes unlocked as soon as gamers pre-order their copy of Absolution.

Customers who pre-order Absolution from 16 May will be able to download Sniper Challenge from XBLA or PSN immediately, while PC gamers will have to wait for a Steam version to be released all the way down the year on 2 August.

Australian and New Zealand gamers will also receive an extra pre-order bonus – an ‘ANZ Limited Edition’ version of Hitman: Absolution at launch. This basically just features some included ‘Agency Gun Pack’ DLC, with access to the Agency Jagd P22G, HX UMP and SPS 12 guns.

Sniper Challenge is a self-contained mini-game of sorts, that sees Agent 47 stationary on a rooftop overlooking a party, with  a high powered Kazo TRG sniper rifle and plenty of targets to take out. The aim is to eliminate all of the targets while racking up as many points as possible, competing with your friends via online leader boards. Stay tuned for more info regarding this bonus, as well as Hitman: Absolution.
