A brand new competitive multiplayer mode has been introduced in the March update for Guitar Hero Live titled Rivals Arena. Rivals Arena, a reoccurring month-long 1v1 battle mode, will pit players against each other as they attempt to be victorious against their opponent and climb the ranks and gain more in-game tokens.

Rivals Arena is unlocked once a player reaches level 15 in Guitar Hero Live and gives access to two new Rival Challenge channels on Guitar Hero TV. During each monthly season players will compete against each other to climb from Division 20 to Division 1.

Season exclusive rewards can be won by players if they reach Division 15 or better, including exclusive player cards at Division 15 and exclusive highways at Division 10. Each season will also use the previous season’s data and status to determine starting Divisions, rewards players who continue to play each month.
