February 10, 2017

Microsoft has announced that Grand Theft Auto IV and its Episodes from Liberty City DLC is now playable on Xbox One via Backwards Compatibility.

This includes all versions of game, regardless if it was a disc or digital copy, or if you have the standard edition or the Complete Edition. Old save data will also transfer, providing it’s in the Cloud Saved Games on Xbox 360.

The Xbox One Backwards Compatibility program was rolled out to Xbox Preview program members in June 2015, later being available to all users in November 2015. Some of the first supported titles were Banjo-Kazooie and A Kingdom for Keflings, with the current count of Backwards Compatible titles now totalling an impressive 330.
