Square Enix recently announced that a Holiday Pack update would be coming to Final Fantasy XV soon, with it now being confirmed that the update with come on December 22nd and will contain a few more features than originally talked about.
The Holiday Pack comes in two varieties, the free version is available for everyone and has a more limited number of items included in it, while the premium Holiday Pack + version is available to Season Pass owners which has items that are unavailable in the free pack. The big inclusion in the free version of the Holiday Pack is the Nixperience Band, which stops characters from earning experience, allowing for a more challenging gameplay experience for those that want it. The Holiday Pack + also includes a game altering accessory, the Stamina Badge, which enables Noctis to sprint and hang without expending any stamina. Both packs also contain new clothing items for Noctis, sheet music that increase AP earned for A+ battle ratings and more accessories. The full list is included below.
Along with the items in the Holiday Packs, the December 22 update will also add a brand new mode to the game, New Game+. As you would expect from a New Game+ mode, it will allow you to begin the game with all game data intact from your previous playthrough. In this case, with the planned updates to the campaign content that were recently announced, I would suggest waiting before jumping into a second playthrough of the game.
Final Fantasy XV is available now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
