If you’re a fan of either the Dead Space or the Need For Speed series’, then Electronic Arts have got some goodies in store for you. As part of a financial report earlier today, they’ve confirmed that we’ll be seeing new entries for both franchises within their next fiscal year. Both games are set for release before the 31st of March next year, with the Need For Speed title having a more specific time frame, being set for the third quarter. That would place it as a likely release for October of this year. Rumours of a Dead Space 3 and Need For Speed: Most Wanted 2 game have been doing the rounds since the games were accidentally listed by a retailer last month. There’s been little word about either title, though we do know that the Need For Speed title will be developed by veteran developer Criterion Games. After the very mixed reception that accompanied Black Box’s Need For Speed: The Run, it seems that EA are trying to play it safe with the series for now. There’s a good chance that we’ll see at least one of the games get officially announced during this year’s E3.

A well-rounded gamer who believes that no matter the platform, there will always be great games to be found. Whether it's for handheld, PC, or console - he'll play it. Well, as long as he's not too busy getting stuck into the latest RPG.

I would have thought a Burnout entry was due come on EA lets see if you can ruin that franchise….
But Criterion (Burnout devs) are working on Need for Speed these days right?
Need For Speed is dead for me and Dead Space 3 may be the final Dead Space I play if it’s too much like Dead Space 2.
I am shocked! Shocked! I never saw this coming!
*coucoughgh*
Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted are two of the better N4S games, so I’m looking forward to see what Criterion can do with the Most Wanted formula. I’m hoping they take a few more risks than they did for Hot Pursuit, it’s biggest flaw was that it wasn’t anything new.
