E3 Rumour: Star Fox For Wii U By Retro Studios?

May 6, 2012

There’s still a month to go until this year’s E3 Expo, but the rumours are already starting to fly. Techtroid are reporting that an inside source has informed them that Retro Studios will most likely be revealing a new Star Fox game for Nintendo’s upcoming Wii U console at E3. Retro have previously admitted that they’re working on a Wii U game, and stated that their newest game is “a project everyone wants us to do”, so it wouldn’t be too surprising if this rumour actually contains some truth. The source went on to say that the game will be displayed at E3, but will not be a launch title for the Wii U. While the Nintendo 3DS saw the release of an enhanced port of Star Fox 64 last year, a new Star Fox game hasn’t been released since Star Fox Command appeared for the Nintendo DS back in 2006.

So, what do you think? Will this rumour turn out to be true, and would Retro be the right team for the job of creating a new Star Fox game? Let us know in the comments.
