E3 2016: Xbox One S and Scorpio consoles confirmed

During their E3 press conference, Microsoft officially confirmed the exsistance of the Xbox One S console.

The console will feature 4K gaming capabilities, is 40% smaller and has a new designed controller. It will retail for US$299 and be released in August this year.

Microsoft also announced Project Scorpio will be released during the Holiday 2017 season. The system will support 4K gaming, feature more overall power than current Xbox One and soon to be released Xbox One S units, and will support Virtual Reality gaming. Games will be able to run at a solid 60fps Fallout 4 VR was mentioned to be supported by the console.

Phil Spencer stated that all Xbox One titles will be playable across all three systems and that “no one will be left behind”.
