E3 2015: Australian Conference Times and Streams

June 13, 2015

If you’re as nerdy as us you’ve managed to lie to your boss, husband, and wife, and shipped the kids off somewhere, in order to free up next week for E3 shenanigans. Because everybody knows the only universal constant is that nothing is more important than video games.

To asset fellow Australians and New Zealanders as to what early hours they’ll need to start filling their body with horrendously toxic energy drinks and sugared treats, here’s a full list of all the conference and show times you wont want to miss.

BETHESDA

This publishing juggernaut tied to ZeniMax is curiously putting on their own lengthy show this year, before the real E3 event actually opens. Fallout 4 will take centre stage, and Doom 4 is a lock in too. What other surprises are in store? Dishonored 2Prey 2? Something new from Tango or Machine Games? You’ll have to watch to find out. WA: 10:00am, Monday 15/06

MICROSOFT

Somehow we doubt that even with three big titles missing the latest Xbox One E3 showcase Microsoft wont be there in full force. Halo 5 on the front line is bound to impress, and this could be the year Rare break free from the Kinect mould. Last year Microsoft surprised with Rise of the Tomb Raider. Will this year see similar third party collaborations?

EA

Last year’s EA event was a bit weak, but we’re sure they’ll make up for it this year. Late 2015 and early 2016 titles will be the focus, including Star Wars: Battlefront and Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst. We’re sure a Need for Speed is in there somewhere too, and we’re expecting this year to be the formal announcement of Mass Effect: Whateverit’scalled.

UBISOFT

You probably won’t get Beyond Good and Evil 2, but you will get more girlwood. Ubisoft will showcase Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate among other things, and have promised this year has a few cool surprises. We wouldn’t be surprised to see a return of Rayman and the Rabbids. They’re due.

SONY

Big year for Sony? Most likely. Uncharted 4 will get a full public reveal beyond the little teaser we got a few months ago, and word on the street is this year will see the reveal of Guerrilla’s new RPG title. We’d be shocked if Sony didn’t have other surprises up their collective sleeves.

NINTENDO

Nintendo is a bit weird this year, not doing one but several E3 2015 related…things. So bear with us a little bit. There’s several, but the main events you want to watch include a direct dedicated to Super Smash Bros. 4, the Digital Event (their main E3 showcase), and the Nintendo World Championships. We’ll give you times for these three, but note that there are also daily Live Treehouse showcases demoing games. They were excellent last year and should be worth a gander this.

SQUARE-ENIX

Though Final Fantasy wont be making an appearance this year, the Enix side of Square should have plenty to show, including Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and potentially a new Hitman title. Plus other stuff, no doubt. You’ll have to watch and find out!

PC GAMING SHOW

A new one this year, the PC Gaming Show is a PC gaming orientated showcase hosted by PC Gamer magazine. Whether or not any significant announcements can be expected remains to be seen, but we’re sure they’ll have some great things for those out there who love their towers.
