Dishonored 2 Update

Bethesda and Arkane Studios today announced there will be a free Dishonored 2 update next month featuring a New Game + mode and custom difficulty settings. Currently Dishonored 2 allows for three campaign saves, but does not allow you to revisit any of the nine missions separately to experience parts of the game at your will.

The announcement was made in a five minute video featuring developers from Arkane discussing how they want players to enjoy the Dishonored series. “At Arkane we have this philosophy of Play Your Way,” says Dishonored 2 Lead Designer Dinga Bakaba. “But it has to be real. We don’t want it to be just smoke and mirrors.” Check out the video with the Dishonored 2 update below:

New Game + mode will allow players to start the campaign again at a different difficulty level whilst maintaining their unlocked abilities, and presumably key mission information such as safe codes and map details. Custom difficulty settings will allow players to have more control over the way enemies respond, which will presumably mean smarter AI.

Dishonored 2 launched on November 11 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC. To read the official statement from Bethesda regarding the Dishonored 2 update, follow this link to bethesda.net.
