Dark Souls confirmed for PC

April 7, 2012

We reported the rumour only a few weeks ago, and now we rejoice, as it turns out to be true.

Rocket Chainsaw can confirm, to the accuracy of a post on NeoGAF, that brutal dungeon crawling role playing game Dark Souls is heading to PC. Spiritual successor to the PlayStation 3 exclusive Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls has been available on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 since mid-late 2011. After many requests from avid PC gamers, including a popular petition, From Software has confirmed the game will indeed be on it’s way to PC.

Unfortunately, outside of the regular bells-and-whistles that accompany PC games, Dark Souls for PC will not feature any additional graphical enhancements, using assets that shipped with the original game. It will, however, feature new bosses to fight, an extra we assume will also come to consoles in the form of DLC.

Dark Souls for PC is currently without a release date.
