Apparently there’s an election going on somewhere. We wouldn’t know anything about that. What we do know about is news. Gaming news. We’re so mastered in the art of gaming news that we’ve already melted your face off from the awesome, before you’ve even read the report. Once you’ve collected yourself, we give you permission to read on.

  • NEWS: The ever popular Shantae is returning in Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse, an all new platformer for the Nintendo 3DS. You can see the first images and art on All Games Beta.
  • NEWS: Coming off their fiscal year reports, Ubisoft has re-confirmed that Watch_Dogs is aiming for a 2013 release, likely on Microsoft and Sony’s next generation systems, PC, and both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Ubisoft has stated they have many cross-generation games in the works, and showed quite a bit of optimism for the Wii U’s future.
  • VIDEO: Cartoon themed F1 racer F1 Race Stars has had a demo go live on Xbox 360 and PC, with PlayStation 3 scheduled for next week. Travelling alongside the demo launch is this snazzy new trailer.

  • NEWS: Tonight, at 8pm Japan time, Nintendo will be hosting a Wii U themed Nintendo Direct, promising to detail Miiverse. You can check your local time here, and watch the Japanese stream here.
  • NEWS: Yet to dive into the Assassin’s Creed series? Then the Assassin’s Creed: Anthology Edition might be for you. This super pack will contain all five Assassin’s Creed games, including their DLC, and the season pass for Assassin’s Creed III. That’s a lot of assassination. The pack will release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Hopefully we’ll have a release date soon.

  • NEWS: The future of Darksiders? Unknown. Gaming Everything has reported that despite being please with critical reception, THQ is disappointed with overall sales of Darksiders II, the game falling below expectations.
  • NEWS: Far Cry 3 has gone gold. That means it’s done, dusted, and ready for printing and shipping. Australians can look forward to the game launching on 29 November 2012.
