  • NEWS: Following up from yesterday, Rocket Chainsaw can confirm that Epic Mickey developer Junction Point has indeed been shut down. The news, as reported by Wired, also notes that vice president and studio head Warren Spector will not be staying with Disney.
  • NEWS: In more news of how the industry is shifting, Rare veteran George Andreas is leaving Microsoft for its rival, Sony. Andreas, who played a key role in the development of the Kinect as well as helping bring Xbox 360 launch titles Kameo and Perfect Dark Zero to life, will be taking up a role at Sony Computer Entertainment Europe as creative director.
  • NEWS: Even more game industry shake up news! Brian Reynolds, the chief game designer at casual game studio Zynga, is leaving the company to “pursue other opportunities”.
  • VIDEO: Let’s break the news up a little and take the time to view a trailer for Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus for the PlayStation Vita. New modes and outfits ahoy!

  • NEWS: Fans of Scott Pilgrim and its video game, aptly titled Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Game, will be pleased to know that DLC for fan-favourite Wallace is on the cards. Major Nelson lists the DLC as adding not only Wallace as a playable character, but also an online multiplayer.
  • NEWS: Siliconera reports that punk video game developer Grasshopper Manufacture has been acquired by GungHo Online Entertainment.  GungHo Online Entertainment are behind Ragnarok Online and Puzzle & Dragons and hope that their acquisition of the company will see the production of more high quality content.
  • NEWS: Spent enough money during the infamous Steam sales? Want to give Valve even more money? Team Fortress 2 fans will find the Demoman and Pyro action figures to be the perfect excuse. Right now the store only has listings for the figures in Red, but no doubt Blue (and the rest of the characters) are right around the corner.
  • VIDEO: With the release of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance just around the corner, Konami has a new trailer for the game showing off the enemies and Raiden’s new weapons.
