The weekend is finally upon us, and that means that it’s time to catch up on some gaming! So, what will you be playing? Anarchy Reigns, the new Devil May Cry, or something a little different? Well, whatever your plans are this weekend, it’s always good to keep up with the latest news.

  • NEWS: Eurogamer have a big scoop today, reporting a host of leaked specs for the PlayStation 4 (codenamed Orbis), as well as some notes about the next Xbox console (Durango).  Looks like Sony are going with AMD all the way, with a CPU based on AMD’s new Jaguar technology, and a Radeon 7970M GPU.   • NEWS: Speaking of the Orbis, the word from CVG.com is that Sony will be going in a different direction with the controller. Rather than using the DualShock design that we’ve seen in previous consoles, they’re trying something new. Apparently, touch screens and biometric sensors are being tested.
  • NEWS: Sony’s lawsuit against Jerry Lambert, the actor who portrayed Kevin Butler in various PlayStation advertisements, has finally  been settled. Lambert admitted that he might have caused confusion by appearing in an ad for Bridgestone Tires, where he was seen enjoying Mario Kart Wii.
  • VIDEO: Sony have released a new trailer for God of War: Ascension, teasing the single player portion of the game.

  • NEWS: If you’re interested in getting in on the upcoming SimCity beta, then you’d better hurry up. Beta registration ends on the 21st, so you’ve only got a couple of days.
